Multiple options for Acne Removal Surgery
Acne, the most common form of pimples on the face, neck, back etc, occurs in adolescence and continues for some time into adulthood. This affects the complexion of skin and face and could be painful too. But there is no need to worry as there are many ways of getting rid of acne. One of them is the acne removal surgery. There are many types of acne removal surgery. The best option is always what the doctor suggests.
A very common acne removal surgery called Dermabrasion, involves a cosmetic procedure, where the stratum corneum or the surface of the skin is removed by sanding. Since this is a type of abrasion, the instrument is called dermabrader. This procedure causes some pain and the skin turns red and might take a few months before it grows where it was removed. The new skin is healthier and smoother.
Another acne removal surgery which is derived from dermabrasion is the microdermabrasion, an exfoliation technique where minute particles of aluminum oxide or even diamond dust are blasted onto the skin and the resulting dead cells are also sucked in by a handheld device that massages the skin as well. This acne removal surgery is like sand papering a thin layer of the skin and is usually a simple and mild treatment. Local anesthesia is given and the skin should be dressed for a few days to protect the affected area.
The advantages of the above methods include the skin complexion growing lighter. One can also get rid of stretch marks. The oxygenation of the skin improves and even fine wrinkles are smoothed out. The procedure usually lasts about half an hour.
Chemical peel is another acne removal surgery where the skin is removed by applying chemical solution. Alpha hydroxyl acids and other fruit acids like citric, lactic, malic, tartaric and glycolic acids are usually used for chemical peels. These peel off the dead skin cells, and also cure uneven pigmentation of the skin.
Acne removal surgery is sometimes slightly expensive but helps in regenerating new skin of better texture.
